Schaumburg is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Schaumburg follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I visited the Bonchon in Schaumburg with high hopes for some classic, flavorful Korean comfort food, but the meal ended up being quite a mixed bag. The standout positive of the entire visit was undeniably the staff; the service was exceptionally polite, attentive, and kind from start to finish. Unfortunately, the kitchen did not quite match the quality of the front-of-house hospitality, and I left feeling let down by the overall lack of flavor across most dishes. βStarting with the appetizers, the dumplings were a genuine bright spot. They arrived hot, had a great texture, and delivered solid, savory flavor. The tteokbokki, however, fell completely flat. The rice cakes were stubbornly stuck together in dense clumps rather than being tender and individually separated. Even worse, the sauce missed the mark entirelyβinstead of offering a rich, savory, and sweet gochujang heat, it tasted oddly reminiscent of plain tomato soup. βThe main course was where the experience really unraveled. The chicken sandwich arrived visibly over-fried, sporting a dark, burnt crust. Compounding the charred exterior, there was hardly any sauce brushed onto the bun or meat, making the overcooked chicken tas

I was very disappointed with my order. The chicken was over-fried and extremely dry, making it difficult to enjoy. The coleslaw tasted rotten, which was very concerning. On top of that, my order was missing the bulgogi fries that I paid for. Overall, the food quality and order accuracy were far below expectations. I hope the restaurant improves its quality control and pays closer attention to customer orders in the future.

Me and my husband had a bite of this chicken sandwich soy garlic & spicy flavor. We had to throw it away after 2 bites. The buns are burnt and the chicken crumbs are falling off. There's no flavor, chicken meat is dry as popeye's biscuit. When we asked them to remake it, they said "it's made that way". And didnt even replace it. I'm so disappointed because my previous bonchon experience somewhere is excellent and I love their chicken sandwich but this is really horrible. Never coming back!!

I ordered 135 wings. The service was impeccable. The owner and managers were so so kind to us. Iβve been to Bonchon at many different locations but I would call this hands down the best. Service was quite literally better than j couldβve thought. We were greeted so nicely, the owner was constantly asking if we needed anything else (even tossing in some extra wings). I stopped by after 13 hours of drivingβ¦. I would still gladly come again.
